Although there are no approved drugs targeting cadherin-6 (CDH6) yet, there are multiple agents in clinical trials. This activity will present evidence explaining why the biology of CDH6 suits the development of therapeutic antibody–drug conjugates (ADCs) directed towards it. Learners will see how CDH6 expression patterns in ovarian cancer are key to this emerging drug class. Other points in the activity will explain the biologic role of cadherins in ovarian tumors, the design principles of ADCs, and preclinical scientific data from CDX and PDX ovarian cancer models supporting the concept of CHD6-ADC.

Biology of CDH6 in Ovarian Cancer

Pre Assessment

Assess your current knowledge and clinical approach before beginning your video.
1.

How many people with ovarian cancer do you provide care for in a typical month?

2.

For those who practice in academic or community settings, please indicate your practice setting:

3.

You are counseling a patient about their options for clinical trials. They ask about ADCs that target CDH6. How would you best describe the biologic rationale supporting CDH6 as a therapeutic target in ovarian cancer?

4.

Which of the following accurately describes the mechanism of action of the payload of the investigational CDH6-directed ADC raludotatug deruxtecan?
